About Us

Train to become a Dental Assistant in as little as 8 weeks!

Horizon College offers an eight week Dental Assisting Program providing 48 hours of lecture/lab preparation and a 40 hour internship with a practicing dentist. This course covers the basic skills necessary to assist the dentist in an entry level position in the various clinical procedures performed in a dental practice. The program is taught in a real dental environment, the office of Dr. Cecilia Fejarang DBA Horizon Family Dental Care, and utilizes a hands on educational approach where students learn by doing. The faculty is composed of Dr. Fejarang and registered dental assistants with many years of experience. Graduates of this program may qualify to take the examination for Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) after completing at least 15 months of satisfactory paid work experience as a dental assistant with a dentist licensed in one of the states in the United States AND after successfully completing a Board-approved course in Coronal Polishing, Pit & Fissure Sealant Placement and Infection Control. A Radiation Safety Certificate, which is another requirement, is also offered at Horizon College.
